Musician and composer Chris Harrison from London brought the audience together in heartfelt song.

Britten as a Boy concert review, 2023

[Skipsey's] vivid vignettes of collier life and love are akin to folk song, and Harrison has created tunes that fit them finely.       Songlines, Dec 2016

Chris sensitively and expressively sings the poems, letting the music enhance the words.       Around Kent Folk, Issue 72, Dec 2015/Jan 2016

Heartbreakingly beautiful         Greenwich Visitor, Nov 2015

Chris has chosen the order of these songs carefully - we go from the joys of love, a father's devotion, hopes of no disaster to the tragic loss of life and the hopes of new beginnings away from work and toil.  He plays all the instruments - guitar, whistle, concertina.  He is an accomplished guitarist and has a very fine voice.  We would very much like to hear more.
